Schedule a ConsultationRejuvenating Vaginal Surgery and Labiaplasty
Deciding to have a labiaplasty is a very personal choice. No matter your reasoning, whether it be for greater confidence or comfort at the gym, while wearing clothes, or during sex, you should choose a board-certified surgeon who understands you, puts you at ease, and makes the surgery a comfortable topic to discuss.
What is the procedure?
Labiaplasty is a procedure that reduces the size of the external labia minora or labia majora (the inner or outer lips of the female pubic area). This procedure is different from vaginal rejuvenation surgery which is designed for women who have had prior vaginal deliveries from childbirth, in which they experienced a tear either naturally or by episiotomy. Patients come to us looking for a labiaplasty in order to increase their comfort level and confidence in intimate situations, to alleviate discomfort due to physical activity or the fit of clothing, and to allow them to feel more comfortable with their body. A labiaplasty, performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon, can have a drastic effect on a person’s overall happiness.
How it works
A labiaplasty trims excess tissue to help ensure that your labia minora lies tucked within your labia majora, creating a comfortable, contained area with natural-looking results. This procedure is relatively short and is performed under general anesthesia. Your surgeon will perform the labiaplasty so that any scarring will be hidden within the natural folds of your body. Labiaplasty can be performed under local and sedation anesthesia. Most patients require approximately a week of recovery time after a labiaplasty before they are comfortable returning to work and everyday activity.
Vaginal rejuvenation is a procedure designed to correct natural tearing or tearing due to episiotomy, and bring the vaginal vault back to its pre-childbirth state. Vaginal rejuvenation is performed under general anesthesia.
